Quack, quack go!

Have you ever seen a duck trying to take off from a swimming pool?

(Let’s not ask why the duck was there in the first place – I guess the 85 degree clear water was a better choice than a muddy pond.)

The duck uses a lot of energy to get airborne. It’s first few yards are spent splashily stepping on the water as it creates enough speed to get some lift.

It manages to scrape over the pool’s fencing by a mere feather.

And then it’s off, off and away…

I’m painting this picture to make a point about newsletters.

They don’t take off right away. Newsletters need a few months of effort before you can start to analyze results.

The reason? A newsletter program is all about building a long-term relationship with your clients so that you are there when they are ready to contact you.

And as most clients won’t be ready right away, there’s no sense in stopping your newsletters before you’ve had a chance to get a reliable indication of how well your newsletters are doing for you.

That’s why we here at Ready to Go Newsletters look for real estate agents who are invested in building long-term relationships with their clients. They are the type of people who do best with newsletters and who make the best kind of clients for us.

Yes, we give a one-month trial so you can see if you like what we have to offer.

But really, you need to let your newsletter run for a few months to give it a chance.

Otherwise you’ll never get out of the swimming pool.
