Don’t let Facebook control your future

Facebook – it turns out – isn’t so great for marketing yourself after all.

Unless, that is, you’ve got a lot of money to spend.

I was reading this weekend that organic reach on Facebook is now as low as 2%.

That means the post you make on Facebook will be seen by only 1 in every 50 of your business’s Facebook friends.

The reason?

Facebook needs to make money, so it wants you to buy ads instead of using free posts to market yourself.

So be warned! If you’re relying on Facebook to get yourself out there, it’s going to become increasingly expensive.

There’s also another important lesson:

If you’re using Facebook, it’s Facebook that owns your relationship with your leads and clients.

After all, it’s Facebook that controls the database.

And that means that they can change the rules when they want – and there’s nothing you can do about it.

So instead…

Build your own list of people you can contact.

Then it’s up to you when you contact them.

And it’s up to you what you send them.

We can help you with that. We can provide you with a form you can put onto your website to collect leads, and we can provide you with a newsletter you can use to contact them with.

After all, the future of your business is too important to leave to the whims of Facebook.
