Here’s a neat tool I found the other day.
You know how it is. You’re working, and you think – hey, I haven’t
checked Facebook/the news/YouTube for a while.
And so off you go on an unproductive odyssey.
If you’re anything like me, you do it all too often.
So here’s a website that can help you.
Here what happens: if you waste time, you pay a fine to charity.
It’s a plug-in for your internet browser that takes a note of when
you are off browsing unproductive websites (you set these up). For every
hour you waste, you pledge money to charity.
I think this is a great idea. It’s an incentive to be more
productive. And at the same time, you feel that any wasted time isn’t
entirely wasted.

(Last time I looked, there was a waiting list for sign ups. I expect
it will be open again soon.)
