Print it real

If only you could see my desk right now.

Or the floor around it.

Paper. Everywhere.

There’s barely room for my keyboard and mouse.

The reason is that I printed out the entire first draft of the book I’m publishing. And there are a lot of pages.

Why am I telling you this?

Because it was interesting what happened when I read it on paper.

To be honest, the whole book thing has been tough. I was so close to it that I could hardly focus on it anymore.

Just a bunch of words.

Until… I printed it out.

And then it was easy to read. (And it turns out it’s quite good after all!).

That’s what print does. And it’s one of the reasons why I encourage our clients to send out printed newsletters.

After all, you want something that is easy to read.

We’ve been doing more and more printing for our clients recently. Kyla, our editorial production manager, is getting busier.

Sometimes we mail thousands of copies, but many clients send out just 200. And that’s good too – it’s a great way to contact your client list in a way that has real impact.

So consider print. It still works.
